Project Highlights

The following are projects to which Versatec recently has made a significant contribution.

L7CC Revamp
The Total E&P platform complex L7CC, located in the Dutch area of the North Sea, has recently been modified. Versatec Energy was contracted to write a new operating manual for this platform complex, including the detailed descriptions of the Distributed Control System (DCS), the DEG plant, and the major utility systems. This project was completed in 2005 and the operating manual is available as interactive electronic version on the L7CC computer network.
Cutter and K17 Commissioning
Versatec Energy was sub-contractor for this Shell EP Europe project and responsible for the onshore commissioning for the gas delivery systems according to valid standards and regulations. The Cutter and K17 gas delivery platforms are called Monotowers, which were erected in the Dutch area of the North Sea in the second half of 2005. The Monotowers are remote controllable and unmanned. The platforms are located on top of the associated gas wells. Electricity for control and monitoring is generated by natural energy (solar panels and wind driven generator installed on each Monopile).
WEOM Risk Assessment Study
WEOM is a Dutch development company in the energy sector. WEOM has requested Versatec Energy to carry out a risk assessment study for a transformer station to be erected, with respect to operational safety and environmental compatibility.
Sanha Condensate Complex
The Sanha Condensate Complex (SCC) consists of three production, drilling and accommodation platforms, linked to each other and located in ChevronTexaco's Sanha Field offshore Cabinda (Angola). Components of the SCC have been built in Asia, the United States and Europe. The operating manual for the SCC has been written by Versatec Energy in the Netherlands. We converted the final documentation into an interactive electronic version, which is now installed on the SCC computer network as a major information source for the platform operators. For more information on this production facility see the ChevronTexaco online publications.
Sanha LPG FPSO
The 92,700 DWT FPSO is now moored in the Sanha field near the Sanha Condensate Complex platforms. The vessel was built by Ishikawajima Harima Industries Marine United (IHIMU) in Kure (Japan). For this project Versatec Energy has developed an operating manual and procedures that covers all requirements regarding the safe operation of the vessel. Again we delivered an interactive electronic operating manual for the final, which is installed on the FPSO's computer network. The operating manual is now used as a major information source but also for training of new crew members. Additionally, Versatec provided a SOLAS Manual in two languages for the FPSO. For further information on the Sanha LPG FPSO please refer to Singlebuoy Mooring (SBM).
